Divine Hide and Seek

can there be a greater divide than two lovers who have turned away in pride? or a greater joy when they finally dance side by side?

In me hangs the ghost of a heartbeat that pulses ceaselessly, silently, calling out to the heart that once danced and belonged but now is lost. 

Thump thump, thump thump... thump thump thump thump...

Like the ship lost in a sea of endless journeys  that is finally drawn to the shores of its flashing light, my floundering heart will soon wake up, pulsating in rhythm to her thumping.
And what a homecoming that will be my heart. For drenched in our tears of salt and sweet, I will rock you tenderly in crook of my arm. 

And the glow from my smile will be the break in your clouds that reveals the endless blue sky that you are. 

And to the thump thumping of your drumbeat, I will dance a merry jig across your skies. I will dance a merry jig until we tire and fall into a deep sleep. Again...
